The third program puts together 5 short films which pertain to the cyclical and possibly inescapable nature of violence — whether it is institutionalized and rationalized(Baptism ), societal and discriminatory(Murder Tongue ), entertaining and addictive(Bugs ), nurtured and indoctrinated(Did It Hurt? ), or presented as an innate imperative of our species(Warrior ). These films take a less brutal, more metaphorical approach to the theme of violence, yet they highlight its lasting and all-too real aftermath — particularly on minorities, women and youth.
