Thank you for Attending BISFF 2022
Dear BISFF friends,
I'm Minchol Cha, director of the Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF).
The 39th Busan International Short Film Festival, which opened on April 27, closed on May 2. At this year's BISFF, which was held with the start of the recovery of daily life, we were able to reaffirm the raison d'etre of the film festival. We were also able to feel the potential of cinema and the value of communication and sharing. We had a precious time to meet Korean and foreign filmmakers, guests, and audiences on the set, as in the past.
Congratulations to all the filmmakers who won awards at the closing ceremony. We would like to express our respect and support to all the filmmakers who have delivered great works even in difficult circumstances. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the audience for their affection for the BISFF, which still has many shortcomings. We sincerely thank all the contributors and partners who have supported the BISFF even in unpredictable circumstances.
The BISFF will strive to become a film festival that grows even more by engraving our role more deeply, gathering the unbreakable power of cinema, the passion of filmmakers, and the energy of the audience.
The BISFF will be celebrating its 40th anniversary next year. We promise to visit you with more creative and rich programs next year.
We wish you all peace and happiness until the day we meet again.
