¡°BISFF Talk¡± provides an opportunity for filmmakers to engage in in-depth discussions with the audience about the worlds they created in their films, with a focus on their world views. In this section, filmmakers will showcase films that reflect their unique viewpoint, and then communicate with the audience, allowing them to broaden their perspectives on films and the world.
For this year's ¡°BISFF Talk¡± we will be joined by Jay Rosenblatt, a renowned American documentary filmmaker. From his broad and intimate point of view, the filmmaker explores a wide range of topics, including family, society, and history, with a gentle and cheerful attitude. His documentary films, in particular, are reproductions and records of his uniquely positive perspectives on people and the world. The invited guest, a worldwide acclaimed cinéaste, will speak about his film world as well as many aspects relating to short documentary films at the event.

Strengths and Weaknesses
The Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF), which began in 1980 as the Korean Short Film Festival, has been the cradle for emerging Korean filmmakers. In honor of its 40th anniversary, the festival hosts a roundtable discussion with Korean short filmmakers this year. In an era when only technical advancements in film and video content are emphasized, the festival invites filmmakers to the roundtable to share their experiences and thoughts on introducing more hidden aspects of society into their work. The festival hopes that this event will motivate young filmmakers to create short films while also being comforted by listening to their colleagues walking the same path.

The festival believes that this roundtable will facilitate the growth of a distinctive short film ecosystem and promote short film production.
