Prism 2023 is a showcase of American experimental films that extend cinema beyond the frame. 

Prism 1: Future Memory

Prism 1 features two films that demonstrate a post-modern attitude in mid-century American avant-garde cinema. The films engage the viewer's perception within the fictional narrative. The spectator is thus asked to actively participate in the construction of the viewing experience. Cinema is extended beyond the screen to include the audience and auditorium. The disparity between image and sound causes the viewers to hold in their mind images different from those on the screen; invoking both memory and imagination.​
