Announcement: Change of Plans for Opening & Closing Ceremonies
본문
Due to an increase in recent Covid-19 cases and the extension of social distancing, the opening and closing
ceremonies of the 38th Busan International Short Film Festival have been changed.
1. The Opening Ceremony will take place on-site. However, the live ceremony will be replaced by a virtual
ceremony in order to show the three opening films to a larger audience.
2. There will be an on-site award ceremony at the Closing Ceremony. It should be noted that there will be no
special screenings after the ceremony since award-winning films will be chosen from among those screened
during the festival. Following the film festival, interested parties will be able to see the award-winning films at
events like the Rooftop Moonlight Cinema, the Moonlight Theater, and the BISFF Tour Screening.
* Tickets for the Opening ceremony films will go on sale on April 13.
* Tickets for the Closing ceremony will not be on sale to the public.
Under the circumstances and after careful consideration, the Busan International Short Film Festival determined
that some changes needed to be made, with a view to restoring normalcy for audiences and the film industry.
This is the festival's primary goal this year. We appreciate your understanding in this matter, and we hope you
enjoy the festival's outstanding selection of films.
