The 39th Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF) will open with 4 films that depict the festival's journey from Korea to Asia and the rest of the world: one from Lithuania, the festival's ¡°Guest Country¡± this year, one notable Asian film, and two Korean films, one of which was produced with the ¡°BISFF Short Film Project.¡± These films are from varying genres, including avant-garde, documentary and fiction, as well as covering a range of subjects, including a person's private life, an education system in crisis as a result of the pandemic, and societal disparities in a capitalist society.
